Quran

Our Qur’an course is designed to meet students where they are and help them progress step by step — from learning the letters to memorizing and beautifying recitation.

  • Beginner: Students will learn the Arabic alphabet, basic reading skills, and foundational pronunciation to begin reading the Qur’an.

  • Intermediate: Focus on tajwīd rules, fluency, and confidence in recitation while correcting common mistakes.

  • Advanced: For those already fluent, this level emphasizes memorization (ḥifdh), precision in recitation, and applying tajwīd at an advanced level.

Arabic Writing

Arabic Grammar 101

This course introduces students to the building blocks of the Arabic language through nahw (grammar). Students will begin forming sentences, recognizing word functions, and understanding how meaning is derived. By the end of the semester, students will have the tools to read simple Arabic texts and start connecting with Islamic sources in their original language.

Muslim Man Praying

Fiqh 101

A practical introduction to Islamic law focusing on daily worship according to the Hanafi madhhab. The course will cover the rulings of tahāra (purification) and salāh (prayer), equipping students with both the knowledge and confidence to worship correctly. Alongside practical rulings, students will also explore the wisdom and principles that underlie the laws, highlighting the connection between outward actions and inner spirituality.

Hadith 101

An entry point into the world of hadīth studies. Students will learn how hadith were preserved, transmitted, and authenticated by the scholars of the past. The class will introduce key concepts in hadith terminology, while also studying a selection of narrations to understand their role in shaping Islamic belief, practice, and character. By the end, students will gain an appreciation for the depth and precision of the hadith tradition.
